The Monday after my Best Friend's Bachelorette Party...

Today is Monday and not just any Monday it happens to be the Monday after my Best Friend's Bachelorette Party. You know what that means?! Yesterday was no time to write and today, well, ya I'm still exhausted.

Last night, however, I took my DSLR out and took some photos just for me. Spent some quality time with my husband, driving around, checking crops and cattle. It turned out to be just what I needed and we had a wonderful Sunday night!

So I will leave you with this Beautiful photo and a reminder to check me out on Rachel's blog!

Social Media Tips

Now I'm not claiming to be an expert {because I honestly don't think there can be such a thing} but I wanted to share some social media/blogger tips. These are things I've learned from others that have really seemed to help me and more often than not had me saying 'oh my goodness I had know clue, thanks'.

Twitter - The Power of the @ symbol
Do you want to promote someone on twitter? Do you want all of your followers to know about someone you love or a great article or post? Then listen up. If you are like me and just look at your main feed in twitter {I'm sorry, who has time to click on each person and read ALL their tweets and replies} then you will only see stuff tweeted or retweeted by the people you follow. Sounds simple enough right?! Well I think the @ symbol tends to confuse some people. For example I want to tell all my followers about this great new song Blake Shelton has and I want to tag him because maybe {or never} he will RT me or reply. So my tweet could be :: @blakeshelton I'm so in love with your new single, you should come to ND to party with us. ESPN knows how awesome we are, you could see too! :: Now who will see this tweet? Unless you follow me and @blakeshelton this will not show up in your normal twitter feed. The @ symbol at the start of your tweet makes it more of a private message for anyone who follows you and the person you tagged. Something as simple as a period in front of the @ symbol will change that tweet so now all of your followers can see that you liked the new Blake Shelton single {and are a NDSU fan}. Here is another Example; I want to promote my fellow North Dakota blogger and her awesome DIY project and I know not all my followers follow her as well, so I'm going to make sure they see it :: @SamanthaMarie_8 just made an awesome DIY headboard & has an easy tutorial > Check her out :: . @SamanthaMarie_8 just made an awesome DIY headboard & has an easy tutorial > Check her out :: Now everyone who follows me is going to see that Samantha has a great DIY headboard not just the people who already follow both of us and probably already saw she had a DIY post about her headboard.

Blogger Comments - Reply Feature *for blogger comments, does not apply to disqus or other comment services*
Someone just left you a great comment on your post and you want to say thanks or reply to their question. So you hit Reply while in your post, seems logical right?! WRONG. This essentially does ... Nothing! Unless the person who left you the comment is someone who goes back and checks all their comments {again who has time for that nonsense} to see if you replied they have no notification when you use the Reply feature. What you need to do is make sure you are notified by email each time a comment is made on your blog, then all you have to do is respond to the email. Praying the person who left the comment isn't a no reply blogger and that is a whole other story that Sarah can keep taking care of! {If you just said to yourself 'what is a no reply blogger' or said 'there is no way I'm one of those' -- pretty please double check and read THIS POST just incase}

Instagram Comments - again with the @ symbol
Someone just commented on your IG photo asking where you got your adorable shirt. You want to tell them because you'd love to help promote the store you got it from. You MUST tag them when commenting back otherwise they won't get notification that you responded to them unless, of course, they have no time and go back to all photos they comment on every 5 minutes waiting for a response {people don't do that}! In this case when you comment on your photo you can put the @ symbol with their username right at the beginning and then just proceed to answer their question or tell them thanks, etc.

I hope these little tips were helpful, made sense, and will make your social media life just a little easier!

Now don't forget to enter my awesome giveaway, did I mention you could win over $50 in prizes!

The Little Things

Who else has Fall Fever?? As sad as I am to see Summer leave us {since we hardly had summer} I am equally excited for leggings, boots and oversized sweaters. Our apartment smells of pumpkin spice, I'm hanging out in adorable leggings and loving these first days of fall!

I know it isn't Thursday but I'm still going to share my Lately post with you! I hope you enjoy all these Little Things that have made my life pretty amazing in the past week.

One of my good friends wasn't able to make it to our wedding so last week we watched our wedding video, ate some yummy dessert and hung out with her new little bundle of joy!

Last week seemed to drag a little so wine and cheese was necessary by Thursday.

The men were working cattle {giving cattle vaccines} this week. They usually work themselves so hard they forget to eat so I made sure to bring some lunch to them on Friday.

This is one of my best friends' little one she will be 1 year in December and is just starting to walk now … such a doll!

Speaking of that friend, she is moving to Florida in a week so we had a little get-together before she left us.
These are 2 of my best friends from HS ... LOVE THEM!

Told you I had some adorable leggings {my hubby thinks otherwise}! Got these from Brickyard Buffalo and I'm so in love with them.

The hubby and I became members of the little country church we go to. {Total moment of honesty we've been very bad with our attendance lately but I'm hoping this will help.} This is the church his mom grew up in and his Grandparents are still very involved in this church family. It reminds me of my country church I grew up in and I can't wait to become more involved. PS. don't you love the angels behind us in the b&w photo?! Those are made out of wheat by the hubby's Grandma, she is so amazingly talented!

I could stare at this little one all day. He belongs to one of my Best Friends and I just Love Love Love him! She lives 3+ hours away so I was beyond happy to visit when she was home this weekend.

Last night we had a nice Sunday drive. Checking Corn - Meeting the new show Steers - My love for Pair 2 of cute leggings!

Like I said The Little Things in my life have been keeping me pretty happy!
Now let me know, what little things have you been loving lately?!

One Year of Marriage

It is so crazy to think last year at this time we were just getting done opening wedding gifts and starting to recoup from our wedding dance the night before.

Not a whole lot has changed in the past year, he is still the boy I've told everything to for the past 6.5 years and now we are Husband & Wife.

I would like to think I have started becoming more domesticated but looking around at the mess of {organized} piles maybe housekeeping just isn't my thing. I have managed to keep several house plants alive though, so I'm on the right track in the green thumb department.

As far as my Farm Wife adventures go, I survived Planting season {as a farm widow} and now Harvest is right around the corner. Although these aren't new undertakings for me it is always hard not seeing my hubby until he crawls into bed only after I've been sleeping for hours. So here is to hoping Harvest goes fast, smooth and praying nothing breaks!

I didn't know it was possible but I have fallen more in Love with this man throughout our first year of marriage and I can not wait for all the adventures and years yet to come!

Almost forgot to mention all the fun I had taking photos this weekend {this is just one of them}

August Cara Box

Cara Box: Make Friends - Receive Gifts - Share Encouragement

I signed up for Cara Box again this month and I think it was because the theme was so open. "Seasons of Life" We were paired with ladies in the same stage of life so same age group and either single, married or with kids.

I was paired with some pretty awesome ladies and now have some more great blogs to follow!

Abby from Always Abby sent me a box filled with some lovely goodies.

First off who doesn't love chocolate with carmel inside … ahh my fave!! These pens and tumbler will be perfect for work; and with these pens no one will steal mine {hello neon pink}!

Abby and I both had purple for our wedding colors so of course I'm loving this new polish. Oh and the hubby has already broke into the tic tacs and I think he is making those his own!

I love warm smells in my home, you know the ones that just make it 'homey' … these Pumpkin Spice melts are going to be perfect for Fall, I can't wait to get them in my warmer.

Thanks again Abby for the great Cara Box.

Don't forget to check out Cassie from A Southern Pair. I sent her a Cara Box this month and just to give you a sneak peek she gets to sport these fabulous earrings!
