Give Thanks To Those Who GROW IT

I have a short and sweet post for you today. Just a little reminder to Give Thanks to the people who grew the food you will be enjoying this Thanksgiving holiday!

Don't know a farmer to thank?? Just leave a comment and I'll gladly show it to my husband, dad, father-in-law, grandfather-in-law and brother-in-law!!

Be Thankful

Yesterday, along with many people around the country, I was saddened to hear of the passing of Maya Angelou. 

She was such an inspiration and truly lived life to the fullest!

As I was sitting at a wine party last night this quote from Angelou really stuck out to me. "Be present in all things and thankful for all things."

I find it very hard in this day and age when we are so glued to 20 different pieces of technology to really be present. Last night though I wanted to be present {wine was involved} not glued to my phone wondering who was tweeting who. Besides taking a few photos, I was free from my digital world for a little bit and it was such a great feeling to be present. It was an evening to be thankful for!!


Do you have to remind yourself every once in a while to be present? Have you ever really 'unplugged' from technology?

What a wonderful Number

Over the weekend I reached 200 followers on Bloglovin'. Yep I know that doesn't sound like much to a lot of you but I was thrilled.

Seven Years!

This weekend has been all about being thankful. Today what I'm most thankful for is saying yes to being Steve's girlfriend seven years ago. Yep today marks year Seven of being with my boy.

I was told by one of Steve's high school friends this last weekend that Steve is a rare gem and I need to polish him up and put him high on a shelf, show him off and just be grateful to have him. {oh boy, this friend may have had a few beers} I'm not even sure he knew what he was saying, but I do know I have a rare one and am darn lucky to have found Steve 7 years ago.

Thanksgiving Vlog Like A Boss

Hello, nice to see you this Friday. Glad you woke up from your food coma and made it through the crazy crowds of Back Friday shoppers. I'm writing quick to link up with Ashten for Vlog Like A Boss.
